During Phase 1 of our 2020-2021 competitive robotics season, students worked virtually and documented the engineering design process in notebooks. They dissected the official game manual, defined criteria and constraints, brainstormed, researched, and developed robot system ideas for the new game of the season. They also created video tutorials, websites to promote their programs, built virtual robots using CAD (computer-aided design) software, and competed in online coding competitions.

Each online challenge award was divided into categories based on grade level. Inspire Awards were also awarded to teams and individuals who demonstrated excellence, dedication, and/or sparked inspiration.  Physical awards will be distributed in April 2021.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to all the coaches who continue to support and teach TUSD Robotics students during this unprecedented season! A special thank you to the CSUF and Chapman University pre-service secondary science teachers for serving as judges for Phase 1 of our season!
